INTAKE MANIFOLD PRESSURE / TEMPERATURE SENSOR 11

HOW IT WORKS

The engine control module (ECM) provides a 5V
power source to the intake manifold pressure and
temperature sensor through the sensor power circuit.
The ECM also provides a grounding to the sensor
circuit, and the intake manifold pressure temperature
sensor through its signal circuit provides two signals
to the two ECM, one is a pressure signal and the
other is a temperature a pressure signal. The
pressure signal voltage will varies depending on the
intake manifold pressure. Under conditions of idling
or deceleration, the ECM will detect a low signal
voltage. Under the condition of high load operation,
the ECM will detect a high signal voltage; the
temperature signal voltage varies depending on the
temperature of the intake manifold.
