36-12 PARKING BRAKE - PARK BRAKE

6 . Check brake shoe thickness.
Standard: 7.5mm

Limit:2.5mm

CAUTION
When the thickness of the brake shoe excesses
the limit of maintenance, replace the brake shoe.

7 . Check inner diameter of the brake drum.
Limit: Φ295mm

CAUTION

When the inner diameter of the brake drum
excesses the limit of maintenance, replace the
brake drum.

8 . Check whether the brake drum is in good
contact with the brake shoe.
(a) Apply chalk dust to the inside surface of the
brake drum, fit the brake shoe to the inner
surface of the brake drum. If the contact
surfaces of brake shoes and brake drums are
all stained with chalk dust, the brake drum is
in good contact with the brake shoe.
(b) When the brake shoe is out of contact with
the brake drum, check the brake drum and

brake shoe should be checked. Replaced
them if necessary.

CAUTION
The friction surfaces of brake shoe and brake
drum cannot adhere to grease or lubricating
grease.
