36-10 PARKING BRAKE - PARK BRAKE

PARK BRAKE

OVERHAUL
1 . Put parking brake rod in the lowest position.
2 . Remove the rear wheel. (Refer to "Chapter 33. Wheel & Tyre - rear wheel &
tyre, replacement")
3 . Remove the rear wheel brake. (Refer to "Chapter 35. Brake - rear wheel brake,
overhaul")

4 . Remove the rear brake drum.
(a) Shake slightly and take off the rear brake
drum.
CAUTION

The brake drum in the parking brake is also the
brake disc in the brake.

5 . Remove the Brake Shoe.

(a) Remove the brake shoe dowel spring.
DANGER

When removing the brake shoe tension spring,
be careful not to cause personal injury.

(b) Remove lower return spring and gap mixer
assembly.
