71-42 WIRING - SYSTEM CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
Description:
• Starter
The battery current flows from the engine compartment fuse box F3 to pin 3 of the
starter relay R3 to supply electric power. When the ignition switch is at ST, current
flows from fuse F17 in the interior fuse box to pin 1 of starter relay R3 and is
grounded at pin 2 of starter relay R3. When the coil is energized, a magnetic field
and the contact of starter relay R3 is closed. When current outputs from pin 5 of
starter relay R3 via pin 1 of the starter to the starter electromagnetic switch that is
energized, it will produce a magnetic field and close the starter contact.
When the battery current flows from the starter contact to the starter motor, the
energized motor will drive the engine flywheel.
