WIRING - SYSTEM CIRCUIT DIAGRAM 71-73

Description:

• Front fog lamp
Operating condition: the parking light must be turned on.

The current of the battery flows from fuse F18 in the engine compartment fuse box,
and provides power supply to pin 1 and pin 3 of the front fog lamp relay R7; When
turning on the front fog lamp switch in the combination switch, the pin 7 is grounded
to earth,the current outputs from pin 8 connected to the pin E9 of the body control
module connector C036, providing the open signal for the front fog lamp switch;
The current then outputs from the body control module C035 pin D16 to the front
fog lamp relay R7 pin 2,the coil generates a magnetic field and the contact is closed;
When the contact of the front fog lamp relay R7 is closed, the current flows from
the pin 5 to the front fog lamp pin 1, through the filament and and grounded via pin
2. Then the front fog lamp starts to work.

• Rear fog lamp
Operating condition: the parking light must be turned on, and for the front fog lamp
and the headlamp, at least one of them must be turned on.

When switched on, the rear fog lamp pin 6 connects to the earth and pin 6's signal
transmits to the pin 10 of the body control module C036, providing the signal that
the rear fog lamp is on. The current flows from the body control module connector
C034 pin 8 to the rear fog lamp pin 1, through the filament and pin 2 to earth.Then
the rear fog lamp starts to work.

Service tips
• C008 Combination switch

7－8: When the combination switch is in the position of parking light, headlamp
and front fog lamp, the rear fog lamp turns on.
• C017 Rear fog lamp switch (two wheel drive)

1－2: When the combination switch is in the position of parking light, headlamp
and rear fog lamp, the rear fog lamp turns on.
