04 (i) Use a multimeter to measure the resistance
between the pin 2, 5 of starting motor relay
R3 and the ground respectively.。
Standard resistance

Standard value

R3（2）- ground ＜2 Ω

R3（5）- ground ＞ 10 MΩ

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 5.
No > Maintain or replace the harness.

5 . Replace the starter
(a) Replace the starter.
(b) Use a diagnostic apparatus to perform DTC verification procedures.
(c) Implement the steps to read sensor data stream.
(d) Check whether DTC exists.
Is the inspection result normal?

YES>Replace the starter.
NO >To step 6.

6 . Replace ECM

(a) Replace ECM.
(b) Use a diagnostic apparatus to perform DTC verification procedures.
(c) Implement the steps to read sensor data stream.
(d) Verify that no DTC exists and the data are normal.
