P. 1

Dear Friend of Swifty,

As you know, 2023 hit a milestone I never wanted to see… 10 years without Michael. Ten years
without his laugh, his pranks, holding his hand or playing a board game together. There’s a big hole
in our life where our boy should be. Our work with Swifty/Gift from a Child helps to fill that Mikey-
sized hole. Knowing we are moving Michael’s Master Plan forward and meeting incredible people
           along the way.

We will highlight some of them in this Impact Report… Jena Lilly of CBTN, a closer partner than
ever, Nikki Lyons our go-to-girl for all things research-related, our favorite
Superhero, a new team on the west coast, and a fun update on
Swifty’s Jr Board all grown up!

We have organized this year’s Impact Report around the
strategic goals we laid out in last year’s Impact Report
to show you the progress we’ve made. We’ve never

worked harder, and I think you’re going to be WOWED!
At least that’s our hope. Our metrics show we’re on
target to exceed our goal of a 15% increase in post-
mortem tissue donations, we have created a new
GFAC structure for formalizing referral relationships
and completed 3 of the 5 videos in our educational
“toolkit” for clinicians and families. We’ve attended

several national conferences where we’ve had
chances to speak, presented scientific posters, and
           developed many new important relationships.

All that Michael has led us to is
                                     only possible because of the
                                       support and generosity of
                                         you… our donor families.

                                            Gratefully,

                                            Patti Gustafson
