The scaffold knot is a popular marine knot that can also
be used for search and rescue, mountaineering, climbing,
boating, horses and livestock, camping and scouting.
This is a good strong knot that is fairly simple to tie, and
is favoured by fishermen for tying their line to a hook. It
produces a sliding loop that can be undone easily by tugging
on the standing part. wrap and tucK Knots

end to the front and tuck
                                         it through the centre of
                                         the three wraps you have
                                         just made.

                                         right through and tighten
                                         the knot.

                                         If you want to reinforce
the end with a metal or
                                         plastic eye, simply insert
                                         the eye and slide the
                                         knot up against it.
