  In Season Plan
• 45 minutes individual workout on practice days
• Intensity depends on game schedule
• 20 minute workout during pre game on game days
• Build a game shot based routine for pre game that Joel is comfortable
with.
• Stick with basketball yoga to warm up during individual workouts or pre
game workouts
• Hold him accountable through video for the following:
o Discipline and balance on shots. Review after each game.
o Turnovers in the post. Limit low level plays. Study turnovers every 5
games to hold him accountable as well as seeing new trends.
o Study every post up. Are we discipline? Are we staying low?
o Study every jump shot. Make or miss. Are we discipline? Is there
carry over from the summer? Show Joel his improvements but also
when he reverts back or lacks discipline.
o Is he driving closeouts or forcing the issue? Where are his
turnovers coming from?
o Don’t overwhelm Joel with film and stats. Study and bring him real
information.
• Get Joel ready for the other team’s post coverage and post double each
game.
• Study his direct matchups each night on both ends of the floor. How can
he get an advantage?
• Constant communication with head coach and assistants on what they
need from Joel.
• Constantly study game shots to be able to tweak workouts to make sure
we work on shots he is shooting in games.
• Always have a pulse of how his body is feeling but also how he is feeling
off the court.
