45. Interpretation
45.1 In this Will, unless the context indicates otherwise:
a) The references to “clause”, “subclause”, “paragraph” or “subparagraph” in this Will
are intended to be illustrated by the following headings and text:
"1. CLAUSE
1.1 Subclause
(a) Paragraph
(i) Subparagraph
(A) subsubparagraph”;
b) Capitalised terms have a meaning, expressly defined in this Will;
c) The singular will mean and includes the plural and vice versa, and each gender includes
the other genders;
d) References to persons will include a company, partnership and other legal persons.
e) References to statutes, ordinances, codes or other laws include regulations and other
statutory instruments under it and consolidations, rewrites, amendments, re-
enactments or replacements of any of them (whether of the same or any other
legislative authority having jurisdiction);
f) References to writing include any mode of representing or reproducing words in
tangible and permanently visible form, and includes facsimile, e-mail and other forms
of technological advancing transaction;
g) References to authorities and bodies, whether statutory or otherwise, will deem to
include references to the delegates of those authorities and bodies whether
appointed by statute or otherwise;
h) Where relevant, headings are inserted for ease of reference and shall not affect the
construction of the Will; If by reason of the inclusion of any word, description or
provision in this Will, all or any part of this Will would be invalid, then this Will is to be
construed as if the word, description or provision were not include; and
i) The schedules shall form part of the Will.
