S.I.D - Police Drone

For my A2 project I designed and made a prototype product that allowed the emergency services to get

an aerial view of a traffic accident situation. The S.I.D is a Serious Accident Drone to be used by the

emergency services. It is able to be packed into an emergency vehicle and can be quickly deployed. The

design of the product is durable and the long flight time allows for data to be collected thoroughly. Once

back on the ground the data can be analysed and used in further investigations. Currently when the

police or other emergency services arrive at a scene they must take notes and photographs and quickly

record data about the accident. The S.I.D allows for a quick collection of this information from an ariel

perspective without the deployment of an expensive helicopter costing in the region of £200-£400 per

hour to use.
