MR. JAMES W. BROWN, SR.
The funeral for Mr. James W. Brown, Sr., who was born in Or- lando, FL on November 16, 1963 to the late Robert A. Brown, Sr. and Eugenia A. Brown and passed away on September 27, 2022, will be held at Hilltop Church Of Christ, 2100 Avenue T. NE, Win- ter Haven, FL on Saturday, Octo- ber 8th, 2022, at 9 A.M.
He was raised in Tampa, Florida and attended Robinson High School. He resided in Lake- land, Florida. James was a welder, painter, sandblaster, and sheet metal fabricator, who worked for SWS Contracting and International Ship for over 20 years. He also worked as a me- chanic and was master of many trades. He was goodhearted, of- fered help to anyone in need, and told many jokes to make you laugh and smile. He was a hard worker, and provider and was blessed with a large and lov- ing family.
Preceding his death are: grandparents, William Brown, Nette D. Brown, Rosa Lee Allen, George Allen; father, Robert A. Brown; brothers, Johnny L. Brown, Clarence Brown, Coun- sel Brown; and sisters, Eleanor Brown, Elaine Brown, and Ruth Brown.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 21 years, Mary Alice Brown; his daughters, Cherrell Cochrane Blaylock (Andre), Chantell Brown (Kenneth), Calisa McBride (Glen), and Zerica James; his sons, James William Brown, Jr., Ken- neth Davis, Benny Scott, James Webber, Jr. (Martha); his grand- children, Ricardo Arteis Johnson, Zy’keriah McBride, Darrious and Darrian Wise, Ma’kiyah Hopkins Ali’jah, Alfred and Alaysia Evans, Kianessa, Yo’anitra, Nefertiti, Iboni, Khensu Davis Benaye Scott, Benjamin Scott, Benny Scott, Jr., Adrian, and An- gelo Webber; his mother, Eugenia A. Brown; uncle, Theron Brown (Dora); sisters, Marie Jackson, Nette Brown, Rosa Wilson (Roscoe), Lucy Jones (Robert) Carolyn McDuffie (Alphonso), Diane Brown, and Teresa Brown; brothers, Robert Brown, Willie Brown, Tremaine Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held at Coney Funeral Home, located at 1404 Martin L. King, Jr. Ave., Lakeland, FL 33805, on Friday October 7th, 2022, 5 pm-7pm, repass at Winter Haven- Hilltop Church of Christ, 2100 Avenue T.NE and 1702 Hillside Dr., Tampa.

SISTER MILDRED WARREN CURTIS
A Homegoing Celebration for Sister Mildred C. Warren Curtis, who passed away on September 17, 2022, will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 11 AM at St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2504 E. Chipco Street, Tampa, FL 33605, with the pastor, Dr. Bartholomew Banks officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Sister Mildred Corrina Curtis entered into life on June 6, 1928 to the parents of William Esau Warren, Sr. She was raised in Tampa, Florida by Mr. Edgar Dan (Big Tiff) Parson. She departed this old life on September 17, 2022 in her home surrounded by her immediate family.
Mother Mildred C. Curtis was a long-standing member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Tampa, under the leadership of Dr. C. P. Epps. She was an excel- lent and willing worker in many capacities of the Church. She was appointed Church Clerk in 1970 and held that position until trans- ferring her membership to St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church a few years ago under the leadership of Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr. During her tenure as Church Clerk, she mentored Mary Priester, Peggy Peel, Annette Gibson, Sharon Tiggett, Delores McArthur, Brenda Greenway, Linda Mont- gomery, and Jacqueline Steven- son, whom all became Assistant Church Clerks. Mother Curtis was also President of the Senior Women Mission Auxiliary, Begin- ners Sunday School Teacher, Di- rector of the Number Four Usher Board, Member of the Number
One Choir, Member of Sick and Flower Committee, and a Mem- ber of the Culinary Committee. She also took care of senior citi- zens in her home and took care of Sister Irma Epps (wife of Dr. Epps) for many years. As a Culi- nary Specialist, she loved to cook and carried food to people all over Hillsborough County. Mother Curtis didn’t have any daughters, but loved to talk to young women thereby earning the nickname of Ma Curtis to many.
Those preceded her in death are: William Esau Warren, Sr. (parent), Edgar and Ozie Parsons (parents), Anthony E. McKinnie, (son), and William Esau Warren, Jr. (brother).
Those left to cherish her memories are: devoted son, Frederick E. Warren, Sr. (Ver- zonica); son, Rochester E. War- ren, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Eleanor McKinney; grandsons, Anthony Jr., Elginald, Herbert, Carlton, Aaron, Frederick War- ren, Jr., Keivis Warren, and Jeshiah Warren; granddaugh- ters, Hope Walker Copeland, Rhonda Gay, Marvette Gay, Kaniya Warren, Tamara Gra- ham; brothers-in-law, Eddie L. Warren, Clarence Warren, and Jerry Warren; sisters-in-law, Catherine Copeland, Lillian Cor- ley, and Linda Turner; very close friend, Rosa Austin; god-daugh- ters, Kathy Graham, Marva Gay, April Walker, Pat Blackmon; like a daughter, Cynthia Lester, Clara Cobb, Mary Priester, Mary Moul- ing, Leola Borders, Leila Spikes, and Gloria Williams; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other sor- rowing friends.
Servant of God well done, rest from thy love employ, the battle is fought and the victory is won, enter thy Master’s joy.
Visitation for Sister Mildred Warren Curtis will begin at 6 PM on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Harmon Funeral Home, 5002 N. 40th St., Tampa, FL 33610. The wake service will be held on Fri- day at 7 PM at Harmon Funeral Home. Friends who plan to at- tend the Homegoing Celebration are asked to assemble at St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday at 10:45 AM. A facial covering protection face mask is recommended.

MR. JOHN DANIEL
Mr. John Daniel of Lakeland, FL passed away on Monday, Sep- tember 26, 2022. Memorial Serv- ices will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, 4:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Rev. Eugene Kendricks, Officiating. MASK RECOMMENDED.
Mr. Daniel was retired from the City of Tampa. He was born in Tampa and moved to Lakeland in 2018. He was a member of First Baptist Church of College Hill. He was a member of the Noble Clan of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ories: his wife, Delois Daniel; son, Anthony Keith Daniel; daughter, Gracie Daniel; daughter-in-law, Rochelle Daniel; and two grand- children, Jerrell, and Nia Daniel.

MR. ROLAND COLLINS
Mr. Roland Collins of Tampa, Florida, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Funeral Serv- ices will be held on Thursday, Oc- tober 6, 2022, 4:00 P.M. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jay Jackson, Officiating. MASK RECOMMENDED.
Mr. Roland Collins was born in Tampa, Florida on September 7, 1936, to Fred and Ceola Collins of West Tampa and were members of Mt. Tabor M. B. Church. He was a resident of New York City (Harlem) for 40 years and re- turned to Tampa in 2001 after his retirement. A 1955 graduate of Middleton Senior High School, Roland left Tampa when he en- listed in the U. S. Air Force. He was in Aircraft Control and Warning Operations with Radar Opera- tions. After the Air Force, he was employed in New York as a Telecommunication Tech at AT&T and subsequently owned and oper- ated Roe’s Bar-B-Q in NYC. Later, with his training, skills, and educa- tion in telecommunications, he was hired as a consultant in Sys- tem Engineering with Chase Man- hattan Bank.
Mr. Roland Collins was mar- ried to the late Emma Neal Collins and the union yielded twins, Timo- thy (deceased) and Terri Collins. Roland was a dutiful and devoted grandfather after retirement. He returned to Tampa to assist with an elderly in-law and be a support to his family.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: his devoted daughter, Terri Y. Collins of Tampa, FL; devoted grandchildren, Pria U. Collins of Tampa, FL, Campion E. Collins of Orlando, FL, Timothy D. Enigbokan of Savan- nah, GA; great grandchildren, Braylon Collins, Daevon Johnson, Jayecon Hargrett, and A’shya E. Collins; brother, Norris H.
