RAY WILLIAMS
MR. JOHNNIE LEWIS ROE
Mr. Johnnie Lewis Roe of Tampa, FL passed away on Mon- day, October 3, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Satur- day, October 8, 2022, 4:00 p.m. at St. John Cathedral Church, 3401 E. 25th Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605 Senior Pastor Dwight Newkirk and Minister Jasmine Roe, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. MASK RECOM- MENDED.
Johnnie Lewis Roe was born on February 25, 1961, to the proud parents of John Arthur and Viola Manuel-Roe in Tampa, FL. Johnnie was very athletic growing up and he played baseball for Belmont Heights Little League. He at- tended public schools in Hills- borough County, graduating from A. P. Leto High School, Class of 1979. While at Leto he continued his athletic skills by playing football.
Johnnie was known for his wit and ability to put a smile on any face. He was never short on his words and was not afraid to speak his mind.
Johnnie met and married Terry James Parker on June 14, 1986. To this union 2 children were born. Johnnie fathered a daughter a few years before get- ting married and his family was then complete.
Johnnie accepted Christ as his personal Savior in August 1994 and was baptized at Har- vest Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Bishop Michael Lewis.
Johnnie was met with many medical challenges in his adult life, and he weathered many
storms, but through it all he learned how to lean and depend on Jesus. He continued to look to the hills from which his help came from.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, John and Viola Roe; his only sibling, Vennell Keaton; his godbrother and best friend, William “Barney” Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his last- ing memories: his dedicated wife of 36 years, Terry Parker-Roe; his loving daughters, Selena Roe, Minister Jasmine Roe (who was also his caregiver), and Jenesis Roe-Sturgis (Reese, Jr.); like a mother, Pastor Lena Boyd (Jerry); grandchildren, Derrica Russ, Quinton Ross, JaQuez Roe, and Al’Niya Riggins, his heart- beats, Mark Grant, III (whom he affectionately called his “Man”), and Reese Sturgis, III (whom he affectionately called his “Big Guy”), and Newborn Sturgis (whom he was looking forward to meeting on 10/14/2022); great grandchildren, Jayceon Moore, Zion Thomas, and Ariel Cole; brothers-in-law, Willie Parker, Jr. (Robin), Tony Parker, Sr. (Tondra), sisters-in-law, Robin Paschal, and Gloria Fordham (Walter); godparents, WC and Stella Johnson, and Betty Foster; godsisters, Christina Wells (Joe), Trina Baldwin, Yvette Johnson, Kathy Johnson and Kendra Wilson; godbrothers, Ernest Foster, and Stanley Fos- ter; godchildren, Ronnie Davis (Serena), Ryan Davis, II (Toni), Roneicia Davis, Khia Wilson, Kendall Allen, Roneicia Daugh- try and Kentrell Strickland; god- grandchildren, Saniya, Kamryn, Ronnie, III, Jasmine, Jordyn, Ryan, III, and Remmington; cousins that were like aunts, Rachel Coleman, Lillie Walker, Theresa Smith, and Lula Kinsey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

MOTHER CURLIE FELTON HOWARD-WILLIAMS
Mother Curlie B. Felton Howard-Williams passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Fu- neral Services will be held on Sat- urday, October 8, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at First Victory Cathedral, 1920 E. Sligh Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610 with Bishop Michael Lewis, Offici- ating. Interment will follow in Or- ange Hill Cemetery. MASK RECOMMENDED.
Mother Curlie was born to the union of Banks and Esther Felton in Rochelle, GA. As a young girl the family moved to Brooklyn, NY, where she attended school. In later years, the family moved to the South to Fort Pierce, FL. In 1955, Curlie became a resident of Tampa, FL until her recent de- mise. She gave her life to Jesus Christ as a young girl. She loved to sing gospel music and to praise the Lord. She worked in Hillsborough County Schools Food Nutrition Services as an Area Head and re- tired in 1998. Cooking was one way she loved people. She poured out her life in service to others. On her job, she often spoke of the kids and how she would take time to stop to listen to them speak of their prob- lems and would always point them, or anyone else to the Lord.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Banks Felton; mother, Esther Felton; son, Willie Howard, Jr.; daughter, Diane Howard Melton; sister, Alberta Richard- son; husbands, Willie Howard, Sr., and Robert Williams; brother, Ernest Felton; niece, Joann Fel- ton; and nephews, Charles Felton, and Troy Bacon.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ories: her sons, Rev. Lorinza Howard (Celeste), Ellis Howard (Cynthia), Robert Lee, and Rubin Lee; daughters, V. Maxine Howard, Cheryl Lee, Twanda Howard, and Carolyn Helm (Elder Ernest); grandsons, Richard Wil- son, Jr. (Pauline), Maurice Perkins (Ursula), Lorinzo Howard, Jr., Kyle Brown, Marcus Lee, and Marvell Lee; granddaugh- ters, Robertina Lee, and Monique Lee; brother, Nathaniel Felton; nieces and nephews, Tanya Snelling, Twanda Taylor (Walter), Ernest Haynes (Sandra), Larry Watkins (MaryAnna), Robert Watkins, and Corey Felton (Keisha), and a host of others in- cluding grands, great grands, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ms. Lashyra F. Williams left this world on Monday, Septem- ber 19, 2022, unexpectedly, and her imprint will truly remain in our hearts. Ms. Lashyra was a loving and caring daughter, sister, auntie, and friend. She was born on March 29, 1993, and was a native of Bronx, NY, but a resident of Tampa, FL for the past eight years. She attended the Univer- sity of South Florida and ob- tained her Bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences in the spring of 2016. Lashyra was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, Inc., and the Kappa Iota chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She had a passion for fashion, content cre- ation, and a love for good cui- sine. With a humbled spirit, fierce walk, and a fire outfit, Lashyra lit up any room she walked in. She provided support to her loved ones in a way that was unmatched. Your camera- ready girl and overall, your fa- vorite girl.
Lashyra was preceded in death by: her father, Lawrence Williams; and aunt, Leona St. Juste-Phipps.

Mr. James Brown was born February 11, 1964, in Tampa, Florida to Tom Brown and Ruth Brown-Anderson-Hires. James, affectionately known as “JB and Hammer” grew up in the Progress Village community prior to mov- ing to Georgia. James was a grad- uate of Tampa Bay Technical School, Class of 1981. JB was affil- iated with the Kingz of South Mo- torcycle Club. He was an avid motorcycle rider who loved his Harley Street Glide. He was a skill- ful cook, cooking his infamous BBQ chicken and ribs. JB’s con- genial spirit was contagious, al- ways the life of the party but most importantly he loved the Lord and dedicated his life to Him.
James was preceded in death by: his father, Tom Brown; grand- mother, Henrietta Peterson; sib- lings, Brenda Welch and Loleeta “Leeky” Brown.
