Brand Ambassador Nas Teams Up For Hennessey’s ‘Wild Rabbit’ Series
Janet Jackson Says ‘She Is Planning Her Family’ As Reason For Tour Being Cancelled
Nas will help with the launch of the 5th installement of ‘Wild Rabbit’ series.
In her mucho hyped Elle in- terview released online Tues- day, Beyoncé discusses her “Formation” video and the overblown anti-police contro- versy that surrounded it, as well as feminism and, of course, her new clothing line Ivy Park.
In February, various na- tional police unions voiced sup- port of a boycott of Beyoncé’s world tour due to her Black Lives Matter-themed Super Bowl performance and footage in her music video “Forma- tion,” which includes a New Or- leans police car submerged in water, a black boy in a hoodie dancing in front of a line of armed police officers, and a graffitied wall reading “Stop
Shooting Us.”
Anyone with a lick of sense
would see that Beyoncé’s commentary was less a pointed criticism towards police in gen- eral, and more of an indictment on a culture and system that al- lows unarmed black people to be murdered en masse, with very few consequences for their murderers. In a copy of the Elle interview screengrabbed by the Beyoncé fan twitter ac- count The BeyHive before it was put online, the musician responds to the criticism, say- ing, “I think the most powerful art is usually misunderstood. But anyone who perceives my message as anti-police is com- pletely mistaken.”
As Hennesy continues its reign as the world’s leading co- gnac, the historic brand is proud to debut the fifth in- stallment of their Wild Rabbit series with the premiere of The Piccards.
Nas is also back with the Hennessy family to help intro- duce the story about the in- credible passion of the Piccard family, and their shared thirst for world explo- ration.
Fueled by their motto “Never stop. Never settle,” the com- pany aims to spread the story of Auguste Piccard who be- came the first person to reach the stratosphere in 1931.
“I still look up to those who
came before me,” says Nas about his admiration for the Piccards. This campaign is all about pushing your limits and striving for greatness. Considered to be one of the most influential rappers of all time, Nas shares the same be- liefs when it comes to his life and career. “You can’t survive without consistent quality and that drive to always push your- self to discover what’s new and great.’’
Recently, VIBE spoke to the New York born and bred emcee about his fourth year as a brand ambassador for Hen- nessy, their new campaign, why he respects the brand and more.

Janet Jackson just made a big announcement on her Face- book recently, implying that she might be pregnant!
“Hey you guys on August 31 I launched the Unbreakable World Tour,” the 49-year-old entertainer said in her video message. “First I just want to thank all the fans for coming out to see the show. We’re in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sud- den change. I thought it was important that you would be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
“Please if you can try and un- derstand that it’s important that I do this now, I have to rest up, doctor’s orders! But I have not forgotten about you,” she added.
“I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can. I want to thank the dancers, the band, my entire crew. I can’t wait for us to get started again,” Janet concluded.
Janet postponed her tour a few times before, earlier in the year.

Chuck D all shared their fondest memories while ATCQ members Q-Tip, Jarobi and Ali Shahed Muhammad closed the night with emotional eulogies. . One person touched by his friend’s passing is Busta Rhymes, who credits ATCQ for putting him on the path to success in the rap game.
But it was Dre who perhaps caught the most ears, reveal- ing the direct influence that ATCQ had on Outkast’s lyrics and production, as well as aborted plans for an A Tribe Called Quest and Outkast album.
