HOW TO MANAGE ANXIETY & END PANIC ATTACKS
right and valid way to access and process the world, the more likely they are to experience panic attacks and anxiety. That can mean that the smarter we are, the more difficult it can be for us to learn certain things. The universe somehow has a way of poking through our “being right,” and when it does, we can become shaken and can experience extreme anxiety and panic.
As you go through the protocol, if you encounter things that confuse you, that don’t make sense with the way you see things or that may even trigger anger or a reaction in you, keep in mind that these are all the cues that you need consider suspending your worldview for a few moments while you engage a new idea. It might be that the language being used is foreign or even opposite to how you are used to seeing something. For example, have you ever considered that what one person calls “the power of meditation,” another might call “the power of prayer”? Perhaps, in essence, they are talking about the same concept. Or, perhaps you might really dislike religion or “spiritual stuff,” and your mind might just throw up a big wall whenever either of those words come up which can prevent you from learning something powerful, just because your worldview processed the words “meditation” or “prayer” as triggers.
When you can suspend your worldview long enough to be curious, you can learn great things. And remember: To suspend your worldview does not mean to give up your worldview; it just means to notice the dissonance and be smart enough and curious enough to dig a bit further and look for the lesson.
Some years ago, I interviewed a well-known quantum physics researcher at a major American university. He told me that the most difficult thing he had learned in his decades of research was that the very core of how he learned to do research simply no longer always worked in the field of quantum physics. For decades, the formula for research was to propose a hypothesis and then set out to carefully prove or
