‘Before cryoprecipitates became available around 1967 I was usually hospita- lized two or three times a year and also very often confined to bed at home. Since 1967 I have not been hospitalized and I have to stay in bed only occasio- nally. To make this possible I require polyclinical therapy about once or twice a month. I continue to sustain frequent, minor bleedings mainly in the joints for which I do not judge it necessary to obtain cryos and from which it usual- ly takes about three days to recover. One does acquire the ability to carry on normal life with a stiff arm of knee especially when one is confined, as I am, to a wheel chair.’
