Praise God in our Lord Jesus Christ mighty
name. Amen.
Beloved let’s give praises and glory to the Lord
for he had given us power and authority to
live. The Holy Spirit spoke to me while writing
this article and I believe that it will draw your
heart to the Lord and helps you to grow in
your faith, trust, hope and Love in God.
In my life, my basic and fundamental power is
my faith. I became a Christian through the
faith in me, for Bible says without it is
impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6 and
Matthew 17:20).
Before a Christian can obtain power, you need
faith to make it complete, although I am
talking about faith particularly, but faith makes
power work and move. Faith is the Father of
Power, as God is the Father of the Lord Jesus
Christ – the source of Power.
Jesus gave power (authority) to his disciples,
not faith to drive out demons (Matthew 10:1),
but when they lacked faith, the power seized.

In Matthew 17:14, we see where Jesus heals a
demon possessed boy. We see how faith
moved power when they come to the crowd
and a man approached Jesus. This man
suffered from seizures and was suffering
greatly. He often falls into fire and into the
water due to his seizures. In verse 16, we see
the boy was brought to the disciples, but they
could not heal him. What the man couldn’t
see was the capacity of faith the disciples car-
ried, their faith was not strong; the Bible calls
it little faith. In verse 17, we see where Jesus
is rebuking the disciples, stating they were an
unbelieving and perverse generation. He then
asked, “how long shall I stay with you? How
long shall I put up with you?” Then he
commanded them to bring the boy to him. A
