Catalog Definition
Definition The OETC Service Catalog contains a written statement of the IT
business services, default levels and options for which the OETC is
responsible. This Catalog shall be read in conjunction of IT Policy,
Information Security Policy, IT Security guidelines and Help Desk
Procedures.
Purpose The purpose of the OETC Service Catalog is to document IT services. In essence,
it clearly defines what services are available through IT and aligns those services
with the business requirements. It can be a baseline for a Service Level
Agreement / Operation Level Agreement, or even replace it in some cases. It also
becomes the basis for documenting procedures and processes in OETC IT
Department.
Benefits of IT service catalogue:-
Provide a clear picture of all the business services for which OETC is
responsible for.
Foster a clear understanding of what OETC employees can expect from
those services.
As a user focused instrument, the IT service catalogue is considered to be a
mechanism for developing and maintaining a working relation between the IT
and the OETC business users.
Provide a basis for managing and monitoring the OETC infrastructure that
is aligned to OETC business requirements.
Service An OETC Service is defined as a set of IT infrastructure processes,
