TO THE BEACH!
The Baleal sandy beach is only 4-minute walk from our house. To go by foot, turn
left when exiting the house. At the end of our street turn left again to a little
walkway. You will already see the sanddunes!
Head towards the main road and the traffic light on the right (the only traffic light
here). From there, turn left and follow the sandy road until the beach.

supermatket and shops
From the same traffic light, mentioned above, turn right and enter the Balealcoop
camping park area. There you can find Amanhecer grocery store, Restaurante
O Febras, Wild Side Campers rental, bakery, pizza restaurant, coffee shop, fish and
meat market.

On the tower buildings next to our house and on the way to the camping park are
surf shops, bar and a laundry service. The Freesurf and 58 Surf Shop will have
everything for your surfing needs, plus a variety of additional items such as cloth-
ing, skate boards, sunglasses and souvenirs.

Same goes with the big Rip Curl Store just before Peniche and multiple other
smaller surf shops in Peniche and Ferrel. Also, in Peniche you will find bigger
supermarkets like Continente, Intermarche, Lidl and Pingo Doce.

PHARMACIES
If you need more than sun-screen and bandages, the closest pharmacy is
in Ferrel, called Farmácia Santo Estevão. There are multiple in the center
of Peniche and Wells store in Continente.

RESTAURANTS
There are a lot of bars and restaurants in Baleal, Ferrel and Peniche. We have listed
the best ones on the recommendations map above. Feel free to ask us for more
