SURF LESSONS
There are almost as many surf teachers in Baleal as there are restaurants. Which
also means a wide variety in quality. We will help you with organizing the les-
sons with the best possible schools, so you can save time, and avoid teachers
that don’t have insurance or licenses. For your safety, please ask us first!

RENTING EQUIPMENT

For renting surfboard and wetsuits, we are the closest solution 
The same type of boards are also rented in surf shops and schools around the
area, but for higher prices, with extra insurance fees. Please see our comple-
mentary service pricelist on the following pages.

For renting bicycles, scooters, skate boards or camper vans – the closest is
Wild Side Campers rental store in Balealcoop camping park (3-minute walk
away). Same store is also present in Peniche. Bicycles can also be found on surf
schools and bars on the beach for better prices.

Can rental is best done online with pickup point at Lisbon airport. If necessary,
Peniche has Auto Júlio and X-Raid rentals, but with much higher prices.

TAXI SERVICE

To order a taxi, please ask us for help, or try to call yourself. All the taxis come
from Peniche. The main taxi center can be reached at +351 262 782 687, al-
though they may only speak Portugese and have a bad service. We recommend
Carlos from Taxi Farol company at +351 926 470 087. The distance to Peniche is
about 4km (5km to bus station) and should cost around 5-6€.
If necessary, there are few other taxi contacts around the TV table in the main
living room.
