ABOUT THE GUESTHOUSE

No hot water?

The house has a gas water heater, located in the upstairs kitchen, which makes
hot water instantly after tap has opened. If there is no warm water reaching to
your bathroom, the first thing would to open it up more. The heater only turns
on with substantial flow going through it!
If there is still no warm water after giving time to reach your location, then the
heater pilot light have turned off and needs to be reignited manually. Please let
us know, or if you dare, follow these instructions and try yourself.
The heater is inside the leftmost kitchen cabinet. It has a slider with a button
(gas flow) and a separate button (spark). To re-ignite, the slider needs to be in
middle position with the button pressed and held down. Then press the spark
button until a small pilot light comes on inside the heater. Keep holding the slid-
er button until the light stays on, and then slide it all the way to the right. Now it
should be working again.

No electricity?
The circuit breaker box is located in the main living room, next to the entrance.
All the breakers should be in UP position. If not, simply switch the ones that
are down. If all the breakers are in the up position, but the house does not have
electricity, then the problem is somewhere further away. Just wait a bit, it usually
comes back quickly.

Water emergency?

The house main water valve is located outside, in front of the house, on the wall
next to the ramp that comes down from front gates. It’s in the wall, with round
shape water meter and valve next to it. Turn the valve 90 degrees clockwise to
close! It may be hard to turn!

Gas leak?
The house has gas bottles outside on the ground floor, at the back of the house.
They are inside a metal box next to the outdoor sink. If needed, unlock the door
and turn off the valves on top of the gas bottles.
