               All  of  these  sefarim,  written  over  the  lifetime  of  the  Chafetz
               Chayim  ZT”L  are  gentle,  loving  instruction  to  Kellal Yisrael,
               first in explaining the reasons for our devastating exile that have                 םיִלּרֲֻח)ַו( 'וֹגְו םיִנוֹשְׁמּקִ וֹלֻּכ הָלָע הֵנִּהְו ,בֵל רַסֲח םָדָא
               persisted  for  nearly  2,000  years  since  the  destruction  of  our                               ."הָסרֶָהֶנ ויָנָבֲא רדֶֶגְו
               Beit HaMikdash, and then explaining the enormity of the goal
               of the arrival of our Mashiach and the end of our Galut, which
               are intimately connected to Shemirat HaLashon and םנח תבהא,                         וֹתרָוֹתְבּ ַעֹטְנִל לוֹכָי לֵארְָשִׂי שׁיִא לָכּ יִכּ ,ןָיְנִעָה רוּאֵבוּ
               an unqualified love for our fellow Jew, which is the inevitable                     םירִָפְסַּה וּבְתָכֶּשׁ וֹמְכּ ,ןדֵֶע ןַגְבּ תוֹעיִטְנ םרֶֶכּ ויָשֲׂעַמְבוּ
               outcome of this limud and הגהנה \ living these laws.
                                                                                                   םִא לָבֲא .הָלֻּעְמ הרָיִמְשׁ וֹרְמָשְׁל ךְירִָצ ןֵכּ לַעְו ,םיִשׁוֹדְקַּה
               The translation of the text of Kuntres Chovat HaShemirah and
               Kuntres  Kevod  Shamayim  came  as  a  natural  outcome  of  the                    ,םיִלּרֲֻחַו םיִנוֹשְׁמּקִ וֹמרְַכְבּ אָצְמִי זָא ,רקְֵפֶה וֹלְצֶא רוּבִּדַּה
               translations  of  Sefer  Shemirat  HaLashon  (published  in  Sivan                  רוּבִּדַּהֶשׁ ןַמְז לָכּ וּמְיּקְַתִי אלֹ ,וֹשְׁפַנְבּ הֶשֲׂעַיֶּשׁ םירִָדְגַּה לָכְו
               5766), and Sefer Chafetz Chayim and Kuntres Zachor LeMiryam
               (published in Kislev 5769).  These were parallel efforts whereby                                          .רקְֵפֶה וֹלְצֶא
               Talmidei Chachamim carefully reviewed, corrected and edited
               the translations of the texta, all of this being actively guided by                 הרָוֹתַּה תקַָזְחַה רַעַשׁ "םָלוֹע םֵשׁ" ירְִפִסְבּ וּנרְַאֵבּ רֶשֲׁאַכְו[
               the Hashgacha Peratit of Hashem\ the Providence of HaKadosh
               Baruch Hu which is clearly apparent in our personal lives.                          הָּדְבָעְל" :)ו"ט 'ב תיִשׁארְֵבּ( :ל"ַזֲח וּרְמָאֶשּׁ הַמ לַע ,'י קרֶֶפּ
                                                                                                   תַוְצִמ וֹז - הּרְָמָשְׁלוּ ,הֵשֲׂע תַוְצִמ וֹז - הָּדְבָעְל ."הּרְָמָשְׁלוּ
               The source text for this translation is the Hebrew edition of Chovat
               HaShemirah and Kevod Shamayim published by “Chevrat Poral                           הָתְיָה ,ןדֵֶע ןַגִּמ םיִשׁרָֹגְמ וּניִיָה אלֹ וּלִּא ,וּנְיַהְדּ .הֶשֲׂעַת אלֹ
               Ta’asiyot”  (the  “Meyshor”  edition,  5751)  in  Bnei  Brak.    The
               translation of Kuntres Chovat HaShemirah and Kuntres Kevod                          וּיָהְו  ,יַניִס  רַהְבּ  תֵעָכּ  הָנְתִּנֶּשׁ  וֹמְכּ  ,םָשׁ  תֶנֶתִּנ  הרָוֹתַּה
               Shamayim was meticulously reviewed over the past two years                          ידְֵי לַעֶשׁ ,וּניֵניֵעְבּ םיִאוֹר וּניִיָהְו .תוְֹצִמַּה לָכּ םָשׁ םיִמְיּקְַמ
               by  Rabbi Yosef  Baraka  (Kolled  Keter  Sion  –  Brooklyn,  NY)
               and Rabbi Daniel Harris (Beth Medrash Govoah - Lakewood,                            .ןדֵֶע ןַגְבּ הָפָי הָעיִטְנ הָפְסוֹתִּנ ,ןֶגֹהַכּ הֵשֲׂע תוְֹצִמ םוּיּקִ
               NJ).  We are enormously indebted to them for their patient and                      וּנֵתָדוֹבֲע  ידְֵי  לַע  ןֵכּ  םַגּ  ,םָשִּׁמ  םיִשׁרָֹגְמ  וּנָאֶשׁ  וָשְׁכַעְו
               insightful editing of the text, while noting that mistakes in the

               Throughout the past nearly eight years that we have worked at                       םיִהלֱֹא ארָָבּ רֶשֲׁא" :)'ג 'ב תיִשׁארְֵבּ( קוּסָפַּה לַע תיִשׁארְֵבּ
               translating these sefarim (and others) of the holy Chafetz Chayim                   אוּה ךְוּרָבּ שׁוֹדָקַּה ארָָבּ םיִנוֹשׁארִָה םיִשׁרָָשֶּׁשׁ ,"תוֹשֲׂעַל
               ZT”L, our Chachamim have given us their encouragement and
               קוזיח which has sustained us and given us a sense of purpose.                       לָכּ תוֹשֲׂעַל וּנֵתְּלָכיִבּ ןֵכּ םַגּ הֶיְהִיֶּשׁ ,ַח ֹּכ וּנָל ןַתָנְו ,וֹמְצַעְבּ
               Among them notably is Rabbi Chaim Aron Weingberg, Shlitah,                          'ט תיִשׁארְֵבּ( בוּתָכֶּשׁ וֹמְכוּ .תוְֹצִמַּהְו הרָוֹתַּה םוּיּקִ ידְֵי לַע הֶז
               the  Menahel  of  Yeshivat Ateret  Torah,  for  whom  we  pray  to
               HaKadosh  Baruch  Hu  to  grant  a  speedy  and  thorough  האופר                    לָכּ וּנרְַאֵבֶּשׁ ,םָשׁ ןֵיַּע ,"םָדָאָה תֶא הָשָׂע םיִהלֱֹא םֶלֶצְבּ" :)'ו
