An Undersea World Emma Ganaj

I jump off the dock, pushing all my fears and worries aside.

The water engulfed me, cold and hard to push through. I

opened my eyes to sunlight filtering through the water. I

dove deeper to touch the soft and muddy sea floor. Colorful

fish zoomed past me, my hair flowing as they did. I thought

about something I read before. You can fly underwater, but

not breathe. I felt that way right now. It was truly

mesmerizing. I was always scared to swim in my youth, but

this was another level. I didn’t want to leave. Some bright

shells pulled me closer to the bottom. I saw another visitor

look at me and he smiled. I swam off to get some air. Every

time I went under, I discovered something new. Every time I

went under, it was more magical.
