and whether such policy information has been disseminated and
reached the target group. This raises the pertinent question of how
such financial assistance can reach the target group. Thus, this paper
wishes to examine the role of waqf, and zakat provided by the Islamic
            financial institutions in Malaysia.

This paper's objective is to analyse the issues among the
womenpreneur in the Jarum Emas Project and, secondly, to examine
the role of waqf and zakat in empowering the womenpreneur. It is
believed that Islamic social finance tools, particularly Waqf and Zakat
have the potential to alleviate poverty and reduce income inequality
(Ahmed, 2004; Dasuki,2022; Razak, 2020). This paper is segregated
into a few parts, which begin with the introduction of the Jarum Emas
Project and the Literature Review section. Thereafter, the authors
further explain the methodology employed in this study, followed by
the results, findings, and concludes the research with the conclusion
and future research suggestion. The term womenpreneur and
mompreneur also used interchangeably in this paper.

Bank, March 2023). As the world are moving forwards after the huge
economic regression due to Covid-19 pandemic, the world is
witnessing a rather unstable movement of economic health and
progress throughout the world. Global wealth distribution also shows
a huge disparity in income between the Top 20 (T20) and the Below
40 (B40) category throughout the world (Global Wealth Report, 2022)
and the increasing numbers of adults that fall in the B40 categories. In
