On November 5 , members of Brooklyn Transition Lions Club
th
supported a local group, Leaders Engaged In All-Round Development
(LEAD*INT) in cleaning areas of Canarsie Park. The event, which is
held annually, was hosted in collaboration with City Parks Foundation
and NYC Parks, under the It ’s My Park banner.
Members cleaned out leaves and other debris from four designated
squares within the park, before planting over 750 tulip and daffodil
bulbs along the borders, in anticipation of a colorful spring bloom.
