“GIVE AWAY” No one in our community will be hungry RHSOP Lions declare

On Monday November 21, 2022, the intersection at Rockaway &
Linden Blvds was transformed into a bustling hive of activity as
Richmond Hill-South Ozone Park (RHSOP) Lions prepared packages
of turkeys and fixings to distribute to Queens residents for their
traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.

Working on the sidewalk in front of Lion Nick Agola’s Sofia
Pizzeria, nearly twenty-eight Lions were assisted by NYPD’s Chief RHSOP serves with the Lion Spirit deep down in their hearts
Kevin Williams, Sr., and a group of smiling police officers, City
Council - Woman Joann Ariola and State Senator Joe Addabbo. They
packed over 300 bags with generous amounts of grocery items
and an eighteen pound turkey.

This was the third Annual “Thanksgiving Turkey and Grocery
Giveaway” totally funded by Lions and supporters from the
business community. The RHSOP Club extends heartfelt thanks to
Lion Nick Agola of Sofia’s Pizzeria, Lions Bihari Lall and Mike
Sharma, and Bakewell Bakery for generously donating all of the
items distributed for Thanksgiving 2022. VDG Romeo Hitlall (RHSOP Lions Club) and Lion Mary present canned

meals
