Lions Joyce Shorey, Janelle Sealy and Margaret On November 19, 2022, several organizations teamed with Lions of
Walters prepared Thanksgiving baskets which were District 20-K1, braving the freezing weather in their thick coats and
presented to P.S. 5 K by Lions Steavor Boyce and boots to join La Jornada, in the park at New York Hall of Science in
Judy Newton. (see photos) Queens.
Lion Mildred Ramirez (President, Queens United) and her club members,
Reported by along with Lion Valcia King-Clarke (Brooklyn Metropolis) participated in
Lion Alma Goodridge the giveaway of fresh food to over 5,000 people. As the crowd slowly
gathered, they were given apple juice, chicken, rice, peas, potatoes,
bread, clothing, toys and health checks. The smiles on the people’s faces,
was like sunshine on a raining day.
