DELIVERING HOPE
IN THE MIDST OF
THE CORONAVIRUS
PANDEMIC
MD 20 GRANT UPDATE
PHASE 1
* District 20-K1 Lions have committed
$23,109.00 to support Touching Lives and
Delivering Hope in the Midst of The
Coronavirus Storm These funds were
provided through Lions Clubs Internation-
al Foundation via a grant sent to our Lions
Multiple District 20.
* The completion of this project impacted
the lives of First Responders, and Health
Care Workers. District 20-K1 lies in the
heart of the epicenter for the Coronavirus
Outbreak in New York State.
* Respite Meals were provided for Health
Care Workers. Phase 1 of The Project
addressed the immediate needs of First
Responder Health Workers at six medical
institutions across Brooklyn and Queens.
Touching Lives and
Delivering Hope at
Elmhurst Hospital
The last “Touching Lives and Delivering
Hope” respite meals for First Responders
was delivered on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 to
Queens Elmhurst Hospital.
Lions from around the district, in yellow
vest, mask, and gloves assembled at
12:30PM to make the donation. This is the
last of six “Touching Lives and Delivering
Hope” respite meals delivered under the
LCIF COVID-19 EMERGENCY GRANT
AWARDED TO MD-20.
