Principal in Charge
Michael is a principal and senior vice president of WGI and is responsible for the management of the rm’s planning, landscape architecture, civil engi- neering and environmental practices. With over 38 years of high level experience in water resources, environmental policy, legislation and governmental relations, including NEPA and the Army Corps of En- gineers planning and regulatory process, Michael’s reputation and recognition offers clients a profound resource for resolving planning and environmental issues, as well as policy and legislative consulting services. Michael has served in a senior capacity in the Army Corps of Engineers, the White House Coun- cil on Environmental Quality, the Environmental Pro- tection Agency and the United States Department of the Interior. This includes Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, Associate Director of the White House CEQ and the federal Director of Ever- glades Restoration.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
City of Lake Worth Neighborhood Streets Pro- gram Management, Palm Beach County, City of Lake Worth, Principal. WGI was contracted by the City of Lake Worth to provide program manage- ment services and support the administration of the $40M Neighborhood Streets Program. The objective of the Neighborhood Streets Program is to improve the City’s aging infrastructure. WGI’s role includes the management and coordination of several consul-
phases, including the preparation of construction plans, contract bidding documents, con- struction, and overall contract compliance. The public outreach and involvement responsi- bilities include development and maintenance of an overall program website that provides City of cials, emergency services, and the community a place to review all upcoming work, track progress and celebrate successes. Coordination of social media activities for the Pro- gram, and aerial photography and inspection using WGI drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), is also provided.
Tampa Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Stormwater Management Review, Hillsborough County, Seminole Tribe of Florida, Principal. WGI was contracted by the Seminole Tribe of Florida to provide professional services for the provision of a stormwater management review of two sets of civil/stormwater plans for expansion projects at the Tam- pa Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Speci cally, WGI reviewed the Stormwater Management Facilities proposed for two separate projects that include the New Poker Room and the Casino Expansion. Each plan set includes approximately 20 drawings and the Site Package Project Manual is approximately 200 pages. The reviews were conducted in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Tribe’s Criteria Manual to the Seminole Water Rights Compact. The results of the review were summarized in letter report style and included an executed ERMD Submittal Items Checklist and a Stormwater Review Summary Form.
Jones Creek Preserve, Palm Beach County, Town of Jupiter, Principal. Jones Creek Preserve is an existing 1.34-acre conservation area located along Indiantown Road in Jupi- ter, Florida. Working with the Town of Jupiter, we will be preparing and permitting construc- tion documents to accommodate new parking area, access drive, and walkway constructed with previous concrete; picnic pavilion, and kayak launch area. WGI will be providing civil engineering, survey, structural, and environmental services.
Cinquez Park Design-Build, Palm Beach County, West Construction, Inc., Principal.
Cinquez Park is located on approximately 13 acres immediately north of the intersection of Indiantown Road and Center Street in Jupiter, Florida. The Park’s development has been split into two phases. Phase I is an open space park which includes on-street parking, a small restroom/storage building, sidewalks, gazebos, and a dog park. The future Phase II of Cinquez Park is currently planned to include a playground area, additional sidewalks, an additional gazebo, and potentially construct a treehouse in the large Banyan tree located on the property.
