Branch Intake Coordinator (BIC)

 After the IA completes the “Basic Information” and
“Demographics” tabs, the BIC will complete the remaining
parts of the referral (Referral source, Payor Source,
Physician, Diagnosis, SOC date).

 BIC will ensure address is correct, complete the
emergency contact information and caregiver availability
section.

 BICs use the “Clinical Comment- Intake” coordination
note to enter a brief synopsis of reason for home care and
caregiver support/emergency contact.

BIC will also input the name of the referring facility so
that other intake staff will know where the patient was
referred from.
