                                Draw Sheet

                             Use a draw sheet when:
                             • Rolling patients from side to side
                               in the bed
                             • Repositioning patients

                             • Moving patients up toward the
                               head of the bed

This technique is best used with two
                             people, though not always necessary.
                             This technique not only reduces
shearing forces on the patient, it
decreases risk of strain on the
                             clinician or caregiver.
                                                                                           11

                               output
                             • A patient who has weak legs

                               limits them to one room

                                                                                           12
