Meanwhile, the production of

cholesterol sustains three central

purposes:

(1) it coats cells;

(2) it supports the production of

Vitamin D and other hormones;

and

(3) it comprises bile acids used to

digest food.

If about eighty percent of

cholesterol is produced by our

bodies, then the remaining twenty

percent is introduced to our bodies.
