Cholesterol can only be introduced

      through diets containing meats,

      sugar, starch, carbohydrate foods,

and foods rich in trans fatty acids.

The body takes the saturated fatty

acids found in these foods and

      makes cholesterol out of it.

Trans-fatty acids are used in most

      vegetable oils and margarines, and

increases levels of bad cholesterol in

      the body.

      Low-density lipoprotein (LDL)

comprises more fat and less protein.
