In this capacity, it is considered an
objective, transparent and
comprehensive source of information
intended to establish an understanding
of climate change risks, potential impacts,
and solutions.
In 2006, the IPCC we as awarded a Nobel
Peace Prize in recognition of its
significant scientific contributions.
The IPCC operates via a panel that
comprises member nations of UNEP and
WMO.
During its yearly meetings, the panel
establishes the guidelines for report
approvals, as well as the creation of
current and future reports.
