P. 17
Thanks to Merlin, Arthur ruled with wisdom
and justice. He fought for the sake of his
subjects’ protection only, and never out of
greed.
He christened his kingdom Camelot, using
the red dragon for its coat of arms.
England’s people were happy and proud to
have him as their king. Their suffering was
put to an end.
The lords and dukes stopped fighting over
who should rule. Arthur’s reign brought
prosperity and peace to the land, something
the people had been long awaiting.
King Arthur treated his subjects fairly,
making laws with mercy and justice. There
was harmony in the land.
