P. 15
Arthur’s step brother, Sir Kay tried first but
the sword did not budge from its place.
Next, Arthur tried, and lifted the sword clean
out of the stone. The crowd cheered madly.
Arthur was crowned and became king of
England.
After being crowned king, Arthur proved
himself to be a great warrior, the greatest
ever to have lived.
He employed his leadership and fighting
skills to ward off all invaders away from
England. And yet his true strength lay in his
wisdom, the wisdom that Merlin had
imparted to him.
King Arthur learned to use this wisdom
instead of brute force in order to combat his
enemies.
