As if under a spell, the rats followed
Nick to the lake only to realize he
was leading them there to drown
them.
They were furious. "You rascal, you
brought us here with that flute to kill
us?“
"You are truly cruel. You’re known in
the village for being mean, aren’t
you?“
The rats became enraged and
pushed their way towards Nick,
causing him to fall into the lake.
Poor Nick.
"Pffft. Help! Help! I was wrong!"
Nick splashed his arms and legs
about, desperately calling for help.
No one came to help him.
