What is networking ? Networking is all about getting the right
people on our side, getting the best friends on our side. Networking is
getting good friendship and companionship for living in this world
and hereafter.
Friendship and companionship are important in Islam. A good
friend is one who accepts our shortcomings, but at the same time
guides and supports us. A good friend is one who accommodates our
faults but corrects them where possible. A good friend is one who
will love and forgive us for the sake of God. Good friends are those
who are truthful. They are the best friends with whom we must stand
with. Allah Almaighty says in At Taubah : 119:

ينِقِداصلا عم اونوكو للها اوقتا اونمَآ نيِلَّا اهيأ اي
“Believers! Have fear of Allah and stand with those that are truthful.”
(QS. At Taubah: 119)
Brothers and sisters,
Why must we stand with truthful friends? We must be aware
that friends are influencer. A person will be influenced by his friends.
We are influnced by people around us, by our parents, by other
members of our family, and by our friends. It is easy to take on their
mannerisms and qualities without even being aware of it. If these are
good qualities then it is a good thing but what if the people you
consider friends have pushed you away from the remembrance of
