Butane whipping
Modern ropes melt easily, so the ends can be
sealed to prevent fraying. By wetting the ends of
your fingers, you can even shape the ends into a
more streamline or pleasing form. Watch you don’t
burn your fingers though!
1 A hot knife is best for this job, but if that’s unavailable you can also use
a traditional lighter or a lighter stick.
