Bouquet garni
A bouquet garni is a traditional way to add flavour
to soups and stews by tying a variety of herbs in a
bundle, which can be removed before the food is
served. Here’s how to tie it up firmly so it doesn’t
split open while cooking.
1 Wrap the parsley stalks around the herbs to make a bundle. Use a
length of kitchen twine to tie it all together with a surgeon’s knot.
