2021 Bank On Washington Forum Speakers
John Maxfield, The Motley Fool
John is a senior banking specialist at The Motley Fool, former editor
in chief of Bank Director magazine, as well as the executive director
of the Robert G. Wilmers Integrity Prize, established in honor of the
late chairman and CEO of M&T Bank Corp. John interviews the
leading figures in the banking industry, including CEOs of many of
the nation’s biggest banks, hedge fund managers, authors,
academics, and analysts. He’s a regular speaker at banking
industry events, conducts proprietary research on high-performing
banks, and his work has been featured in Time, Business Insider,
USA Today, and the Houston Chronicle, among other publications.
Chris Moreno, Catalyst Miami
Chris serves as a Program Director for Catalyst Miami, a non-profit
focused on eliminating poverty in Miami, FL by empowering
community members in the areas of prosperity, leadership,
advocacy, and network building. Chris graduated with a Bachelor
of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro
and a Master of Education degree from the University of South
Florida. Within Miami-Dade County, Chris has held a variety of
roles with social impact organizations such as the United Way
Center for Financial Stability, WorkSquare, and Catalyst Miami.
Chris enjoys giving back to his community through the IRS
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program which provides free tax
preparation for low to moderate income families. In his spare time,
you can find Chris biking his local rail trails or spending time
outdoors at one of many Florida state parks.
