Katie Neal, Plaid
Katie Neal leads outreach & advocacy efforts for Plaid’s policy team.
This includes working with policymakers, regulators, advocacy
groups, and customers to navigate the regulatory landscape to
improve financial offerings for consumers. Prior to joining Plaid, Katie
worked on education and tax policy for two Senate committees. She
holds a bachelor’s from University of Virginia and an MBA from UT-
Austin, where she led the Net Impact organization and the MBA
Impact Investing Training Network. She currently resides in New
York City.
Erwin Reeves, FDIC
Erwin Reeves, Community Affairs Specialist with the Federal Deposit
Insurance Corporation San Francisco Regional Office since 2015,
helps community stakeholders bolster the economic inclusion of low-
income communities in the Bay Area (CA), Oregon, and Washington.
He has over 30 years’ experience supporting community
development that creates & implements programming for small
businesses, nonprofits, and residents in low-income communities.
Through his blended experiences as a banker, volunteer and board
member, Erwin has focused on fostering collaboration between
bankers, CDFIs, and community-based organizations as well as
municipal and academic service providers to support financial
education, affordable housing, and access to capital.
Mr. Reeves has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Jackson
State University. He has also completed the National Community
Development Lending School held at UC Berkeley, Strategy for Non-
Profit Organizations held at Stanford Graduate School of Business,
and the masters’ level extension program through Pacific Coast
Banking School at the University of Washington.
