The above organizations have all donated employee time to mentor AIBL Students. Adobe, Marathon Petroleum, Chevron and Synchrony have all donated fiscal resources to help support the mentoring program or the AIBL Conference over the past year. Additionally, Sony has contributed to the organization to help make the internship program possible. In total, AIBL has 6 corporate sponsors: Nike, Adobe, Marathon Petroleum, Chevron, Synchrony and Sony.
Goal #5: Grow the number of foundations and private donors supporting AIBL from three, (the Johnson Scholarship Foundation and Don & Elaine Witmer), to 4.
The relationship we have with the JSF remains positive. A group of representatives from AIBL and the Johnson Scholarship Foundation members were able to meet in Missoula, MT last summer and had a productive visit. Additionally, AIBL’s Executive Director and JSF Board member Sherry Selway Black have been able to touch base throughout the year. The Foundation has also donated funding in addition to the funding outlined in this grant. We are continuously thankful for the positive relationship we have with the Foundation.
While maintaining the positive relationships we have developed with JSF and the Witmers, we have also approached a private foundation for staffing support to help balance the workload of the existing AIBL staff members. With the addition of chapter growth, we need to keep up with meeting student needs and require additional staff at this time. We anticipate funding for this project to be awarded in January of 2023.
