Anthony McCain

Anthony McCain was named vice president, Resource Management for Southern
Company Gas in March 2015. He is responsible for executing the strategic plan
for the company’s resource management organization, which is responsible for
forecasting, scheduling and operations logistics for Southern Company Gas’ four
natural gas companies. He is also responsible for continuing the work on develop-
ing and executing the enterprise-wide consolidation of field technology, opera-
tional standardization and process improvement.

McCain joined Nicor Gas in 1986. Nicor Gas is the largest natural gas distributor

Atlanta Gas Light Company ergy sector. He previously served as Nicor Gas’ vice president of Operations, vice
president of Field Operations and as vice president of Distribution. He also served
as assistant vice president of Customer Support, assistant vice president of Mainte-
nance and assistant vice president of Energy Delivery.

Active in the industry and his community, McCain is a member of the American
Association of Blacks in Energy, American Gas Association, Benedictine University’s
President’s Planning Advisory Council, Boys & Girls Club of Naperville, Leader-
ship Greater Chicago and the Museum of Science and Industry’s Black Creativity
Advisory Board.

McCain earned his undergraduate degree and master’s in business administration
from Illinois Benedictine College. He lives with his wife and five children in Boling-
brook, Illinois.
