IN & OUT SECTION

What is it? Every store will create a designated “In & Out” section for high turning, priority merchandise that needs
to be fl owed in a 24-48 hour timeframe.

The In & Out Section will be placed in the most accessible area of your backroom.
The “most accessible area of your backroom” is defi ned as the fi rst and best available hanging/folding section
(i.e. Performa or wall hanging/shelving) that is closest to your stockroom door. NOTE: If that space is currently
housing other merchandise, POP, hardware or other misc. items, those should be relocated to another area of the
backroom to make room for your new In & Out section.
The In & Out section is to hold merchandise that will be moved onto the fl oor within a 24-48 (MAXIMUM)
hour rotation.
No merchandise should remain in your In & Out Section beyond 48 hours. If so, it is to be removed from the
In & Out Section.
It is to be identifi ed with red masking tape as shown in the photo below.
No fi xtures, signage or other material should be in the In & Out section.
In & Out Sections should be refreshed with new merchandise based on daily promotions, high sell through areas,
events, etc. It should be the fasted moving shelves and hanging areas in your backroom.
