Operational procedures
6.8.2 Dangerous goods
There are many things that can be dangerous to transport in an aircraft. Some
of these things are prohibited from being carried on our aircraft.
- Flammable and toxic liquids and substances may not be transported,
which could pose a danger to passengers
- Weapons and ammunition are not permitted on board our small aircraft
- Weapons, explosives, war material and war ammunition are understood
to mean:
1. Any type of firearm as well as barrels, locks and breechblocks for
firearms.
2. Ammunition for firearms, including cartridge cases, primers, primer
caps, incendiary tubes and projectiles.
3. Hand grenades, bombs and similar weapons that operate by the
ejection of small objects caused by an explosion.
4. Hand grenades, bombs, cartridges and similar objects appearing as
weapons or ammunition that contain or are intended to contain
solid substances, liquids or gases that have a harmful, anesthetic or
irritating effect, as well as parts of such weapons or ammunition and
tools for activating them.
5. Explosives (explosive substances and objects containing explosives).
6. Crossbows and slingshots.
The appendix to BL 5-61 specifies how cargo must be secured so that in the
event of an accident it does not harm those on board.
