Operational procedures

When taking off after a heavy aircraft, you should start as close to the end of

the runway as possible. Climb above the suspected edge vortices.

Edge vortices, after a taking off aircraft will move with the wind and move
horizontally at 5 kt. to each side in relation to the runway centerline – in calm

                weather!

If there is a crosswind of 5 kt., one of the edge vortices will remain until it slowly

                disintegrates.

Edge vortices from other runways can blow with the wind onto the runway you

                want to take off from.

Be careful not to get too close to the jet blast from jets when taxiing, it can easily
                blow a Cessna over!

Helicopters also create strong edge vortices,
especially when they approach to hover.

It is not solely the pilot's responsibility to avoid flying into edge vortices after

                heavy aircraft.

The air traffic service has a duty to prevent us from taking off immediately after

a heavy aircraft. The rules are specified for takeoff and landing after aircraft

                belonging to another category, respectively.
