Aircraft general knowledge

                8.12.3.6 Clock

A clock that shows the time in hours, minutes and seconds

is a requirement. The same is true for the air speed

                indicator, altimeter and compass.

                8.12.3.7 Stall Warning

The stall indicator consists of a small plate that is placed on one of the leading
                edges of the wings.

When the aircraft approaches the critical

angle for stall, a pawl is activated, a switch

that provides voltage to an alarm in the
cabin in the form of a flashing lamp, a

                howling sound or both.

Lower the nose of the aircraft, and the stall warning will be off again

                8.12.4 The pitot-static system

Through a pitot tube, the airspeed indicator is supplied with total air pressure,

which consists of dynamic air pressure + static pressure.

The tube is most often mounted

under the wing. It should actually be

placed in front of the nose of the

                aircraft, but for practical reasons…
