                8.12 Flight instruments

(Generel viden om luftfartøjer 3 - 2 videoer)

A general rule for all flight instruments that use the ambient air is that they only

display correctly in what we call the “standard atmosphere” (ISA = international

                Standard Atmosphere).

The conditions of the standard atmosphere are:

Sea level pressure 1013.25 hPa (Hecto Pascal)

Pressure drop 1 hPa per 30 feet

                                                      o
                                                                        o
                        Temperature 15 C decreasing 2 C per 1000 feet higher
Humidity Not found in the standard atmosphere

                8.12.1 Instrument panel

Above is a picture of the instrumentation in a cockpit.

We can divide the instrumentation into several groups. For example, engine
instruments and sensors, flight instruments, radio equipment, gyro instruments

                and so on.

Now we will look at the selection.
