Navigation

                9.6.3.6 Speed Knots (kt)

Distances are measured in NM and speeds in Knots (Kt).

                1 knot is 1 NM/hour.

9.7 Flying in the wind (Navigation 2 - 4 videoer)

The airplane will always be affected by the wind. You must make corrections to
your heading if there is wind across your route. If you do not make corrections

for the wind during the flight, you will not be able to keep the planned route

                (track).

How much and in which direction depends on the direction and speed of the

wind. The correction is made by holding the aircraft up against the wind. In

general, we do not compensate by changing the speed of the aircraft, but if time
is of the essence, we must of course also compensate for this by adjusting the

                power.

                9.7.1 The wind triangle

To calculate the influence of the wind, we use the wind triangle.
